Industrial Halogen Heater with Tip-Over Protection: The Real Deal
We built this heater for the jobs where you can’t mess around—the ones that demand serious heat in a tight space, without cutting corners on safety. At its heart is a quartz halogen lamp, and it comes with a smart safety net: if the unit gets knocked over, the circuit cuts out instantly. Power off. Heat off. No runaway temperature.
What’s under the hood
This thing runs on 400V and cranks out 2500W, packing a lot of heat into a small footprint. The 300mm tube focuses that heat right where you need it, so you can warm a specific spot without scorching everything around it. And if your machines already run on 400V, you’re in luck—no need to add step-down transformers. That said, it does need a control circuit that’s up to the task and enough airflow to keep things cool. If the enclosure doesn’t breathe well, heat builds up, and that can wear parts out faster.
The materials that matter
We went with a quartz envelope because it handles sudden temperature swings without blinking, keeping output steady. The halogen fill does a neat trick, too—it helps the filament last longer by putting material back where it belongs. So it outlasts a standard incandescent lamp. And the R7s connector? It’s a simple, industry-standard fit, so you can swap this lamp in without a hassle on compatible fixtures. The tube coating also helps spread infrared heat more evenly, which means your heat transfer stays consistent.
Where it shines—and why it matters
You’ll see this setup a lot in PET blowing and other process heating jobs, where you need heat fast and ignition you can count on. The tip-over protection is a quiet workhorse—if the fixture gets bumped or knocked out of place, you don’t have to worry about uncontrolled heating. For you, that means fewer safety hurdles to engineer around. It also means a heater that can take the knocks of the shop floor without giving up early. It’s just built to show up, day after day, and get the job done.
