The Power Behind the Heat We use high-wattage quartz tubes to get those temperatures up quickly. We match the voltage to your specific power grid, so the filament glows and gets hot the second it’s powered on. Because we pack a lot of power into a small space, you get a massive amount of heat without needing a giant, bulky fixture. Just a heads-up: these tubes pull a lot of juice. Make sure your circuit breakers can handle the peak current, or you’ll be spending your day resetting the power box. Built for Wet Spaces Changing rooms are usually humid, and let’s be honest, things get splashed. To keep everything safe, we house these elements in IP65-rated seals. This keeps dust and water jets away from the electrical bits where they don’t belong. We chose high-purity quartz glass for the outer shell. Why? Because it lets infrared waves pass through much better than your average glass. We even offer versions with a special coating that pushes the heat toward the person, not the walls. Swapping Them Out (And a Pro Tip) We designed these to be simple drop-in replacements. Since we use standard R7s or Sk15 connectors, you won’t have to tear apart your wiring. Just pull the old, burnt-out tube and slide the new one in. But here is the most important part:do not touch the glass with your bare hands. The quartz is tough, but the oils from your skin can create “hot spots” on the surface. When the tube heats up, those spots can cause the glass to crack. Grab a clean cloth, handle it with care, and you’re good to go.
