We built this infrared dorm room heater around a simple idea: warmth that arrives quietly, directly, and with safety baked in.&lt;/p&gt;&#xA;&lt;h2 id=&#34;what-matters-technically&#34;&gt;What matters, technically&lt;/h2&gt;&#xA;&lt;p&gt;Infrared warmth doesn’t work like forced air. A radiant heater delivers heat the way the sun does—by warming people and surfaces in the room. In &lt;a href=&#34;https://o-yate.net&#34;&gt;practice&lt;/a&gt;, you feel it almost immediately, without waiting for the whole &lt;a href=&#34;https://o-yate.com&#34;&gt;space&lt;/a&gt; to heat up.&#xA;Inside, we use a quartz-tube element for short-wave infrared, paired with a low-noise reflector path that keeps things close to silent.
