مشکل اینجاست: یک سیم ممکن است در آزمایش‌های ساده عملکرد خوبی داشته باشد، اما ممکن است در لایه پوشش آن سوراخ‌های ریزی وجود داشته باشد. شما نمی‌توانید این سوراخ‌ها را با چشم خود ببینید؛ اما وقتی که ولتاژ بالایی به آن سیم وارد شود، این نقاط ضعیف مشکلات زیادی ایجاد می‌کنند.

اگر تا به حال از گرمکن‌های مادون قرمز ضدآب در لانه مرغ‌ها استفاده کرده‌اید، می‌دانید که چه اتفاقی می‌افتد. شما یک دستگاه خریداری می‌کنید؛ این دستگاه برای مدتی به خوبی کار می‌کند، اما سپس ناگهان از کار می‌افتد.

نکته مهم این است که این مواد در همان سرعتی که لوله کوارتز گرم یا سرد می‌شود، تغییر حالت می‌دهند. اگر این دو ماده با هم حرکت نکنند، بسته‌بندی از جا درخواهد آمد. با هماهنگ کردن این مواد، بسته‌بندی حتی در هنگام گرم شدن شدید لامپ نیز محکم باقی می‌ماند.

یک نکته سریع برای نصب
البته، یک معایب این روش نیز وجود دارد؛ چون بسته‌بندی‌های ما بسیار محکم هستند، سیم‌ها در نزدیکی لوله کمی سفت می‌شوند.
سیم‌ها را در نزدیکی لوله شدیداً خم نکنید. اگر سیم‌ها را شدیداً خم کنید، ممکن است بسته‌بندی‌ها خراب شوند. فقط مطمئن شوید که سیم‌ها کمی آزاد باشند؛ این کار باعث می‌شود گرمکن بتواند در سخت‌ترین شرایط نیز کار کند، بدون اینکه خراب شود.
