They rust, they short out, and they stop working right when you actually need them. We wanted to build something that actually lasts.
No more fogging up
We’ve all been there—stepping out of a hot shower only to find the mirror is a complete blur. It’s annoying. To fix this, we use short-wave infrared tech. Instead of just heating the air around the mirror, it warms the glass itself. It keeps the surface just warm enough so that water droplets can’t stick. We tucked the heating element right behind the silvering or used a special conductive coating, so the heat spreads evenly. No cold spots, no streaks, just a clear view.
Keeping the water out
Water is the enemy. When it gets into the wiring, it’s game over. That’s why we don’t cut corners on the seals. We use high-temperature silicone gaskets to lock down every electrical junction. We also make sure our IP ratings are high, which is just a fancy way of saying your mirror can handle a few splashes from the sink or shower without blowing a fuse. And please, no cheap plastic. We’ve seen those housings warp and crack the moment they get warm. We stick to aluminum frames and heat-stabilized polymers. They stay sturdy, they keep the insides dry, and they don’t fray as the unit heats up and cools down.
The honest trade-off
Here is the thing: because we use thicker seals and reinforced glass, these mirrors have more “thermal mass.” In plain English? It takes a few seconds longer to warm up than a cheap, exposed wire heater. But that’s a trade we’re happy to make. An exposed wire might be instant, but it’ll probably corrode and die in a few months. Our sealed design lasts for thousands of hours. It’s the difference between buying a new mirror every year and buying one that just works. Just make sure you wire it into a GFCI outlet to stay safe, and you’re good to go.
